2026–2027 Season
Our next competition season is expected to begin in fall 2026. This year’s company selection process will include both an invitation only track and audition opportunities.
Invitations will be extended to returning dancers who have already demonstrated the qualities and commitment we look for in company members. These dancers will not need to audition again and will be offered direct placement into the company program.
Golden ticket recipients will still be required to complete the interest form to indicate their preferred genres and the number of routines they wish to participate in.
Auditions will be held on September 13th for dancers who are either new to D2HI or have not yet fully met the criteria for an invitation. This gives every dancer the opportunity to be evaluated and considered for company placement, even if they are still in the process of developing the required skills or consistency.
Dancers must be at least 6 years old to be eligible to audition for competition team.
Competition Team Requirements
All company dancers will be expected to meet the following commitments:

Stay active and responsive on the Band app for all company communication

Maintain at least 80% attendance in required classes and rehearsals

Participate in all required regional and national competitions

Take part in the annual recital

Be enrolled in Company Lab classes

Take all assigned technique and choreography classes based on group routine placement

Introducing: Company Lab (Invite-Only)
We’re proud to announce our brand new Company Lab, an exclusive, invitation-only workshop-style training program for dancers who are part of — or aspiring to be part of — the Destination Dance Hawaii Competition Team.
Created by our Competition Team Director, Company Lab is designed to build consistency, technical precision, and versatility in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Each weekly dance session includes:

Technique Progressions:
- Minis/Juniors: 60 minutes
- Teens/Seniors: 75 minutes -
Rotating Genre Training:
- Minis/Juniors: 30 minutes
- Teens/Seniors: 45 minutes

📬 Invitations to Company Lab were sent via U.S. Mail in July to select families. These invitations will automatically grant students a spot on the 2026–2027 Competition Team — no audition required!
Note: Students who receive a golden ticket invitation will still need to complete the interest form to indicate which genres and how many routines they are interested in.
While we will still host inclusive auditions for all interested students, all dancers must meet specific eligibility criteria.
